Review on The New Accomplice Collection from Marc Jacobs Beauty

Accomplice Concealer and Touch-Up Stick & Instant Blurring Beauty Powder with a Brush

The new Accomplice Collection from Marc Jacobs Beauty was first launched in May 2019. I was given a chance to try out the products just before the launch date but I was too busy back then to share my thoughts here.. So sorry! FYI, this isn't my first time trying out base products from Marc Beauty itself. I stocked up the Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation three times already because I just love the coverage and how it looks on my skin. I have a strong instinct saying the new base products from Accomplice Collection would become one of my favourites too. So, is it true? Read this up..

Accomplice Concealer & Touch-Up Stick (RM 125)
Packaging wise, it's black and sturdy as usual. The formula is very creamy and easy to blend on the face, using both brush and sponge. I like it better with damp sponge because it makes it look even more natural. Bear in mind, the coverage is extremely full as you can see in the swatches below so be moderate when you apply it on your face. I always use Medium 33 in mix with Light 26 for under eye concealing. For spot conceal, I prefer Medium 33. Light 26 looks perfect for highlighting my T-zone area, just below my cheekbones as well as on my chin. I noticed the creamy formula actually makes my skin oily quicker than ever, so I always set it with setting powder right after I blend the products. To make it stay even longer, always 'bake' your face. I agree this new concealer from Marc Jacobs Beauty is long-wearing as it does stay put on my skin up to 8 hours wear. My only concern is it makes my skin oilier but with a tissue blot, I'm good to go.

Accomplice Instant Blurring Beauty Powder with a Brush (RM 190)
I was really confused by the name because it says "with a brush", but upon receiving I was questioning since there was no brush included in the packaging. I was excited to finally realise that the brush itself was magnetically attached to the packaging. It was hidden. That's very unique. I like the fact that I don't have to bring my face powder and face brush everywhere anymore. Just so you know, I do not prefer to use sponge/puff for powder. I would rather bring my big brush along in the makeup bag wherever I go. With this new packaging from Marc Jacobs Beauty, I managed to save some space in my makeup bag, that I don't need to bring along my face brush anymore.

Instant Blurring Beauty Powder With a Brush in shade 54 Muse
I usually use this powder on top of foundation/bb/cc cream to mattify, but at the same time it gives me a glow effect. The powder itself if I look closely, it has a little bit of shiny pearls. If you are all aware, I have pitted scars but luckily the little pearls do not enhance my imperfections with the right amount of application. It also has a minimal coverage which I really love, perfect for daily wear when I am too lazy to put on any makeup. The only downside which I think is, it's only available in four shades in total. This shade 54 Muse is actually quite deep for my skin tone but with the right amount, it looks all good.
